On November 17, 2016, FACC, Michigan Chapter celebrated the traditional uncorking of the new Beaujolais Nouveau wine at French restaurant Cuisine in Detroit’s midtown district with co-partners the Alliance Française de Detroit/French Institute of Michigan and Alliance Française de Grosse Pointe.
Over 100 members of the French-American community gathered for this social networking event and enjoyed a delectable French hors d’oeuvres and dessert menu, paired with the exclusive Georges DuBoeuf Beaujolais Nouveau wine bar. The menu was handcrafted by Cuisine owner Chef Paul who studied at Le Français and Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France.
The FACC, Michigan Chapter Beaujolais Nouveau event was one of various wine and Beaujolais Nouveau Festivals hosted by chapters of the FACC across the United States to gather members and local business communities together to celebrate France's renowned wine and Beaujolais Nouveau traditions.
