On April 28, 2017, FACC-Michigan held the 2017 edition of our Gala & Awards Ceremony at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, recognizing the achievements accomplished by Nissan Motor Company in gaining market shares in North America.
We were honored to have join us Mr. José Muñoz, Executive Vice President, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Nissan Chief Performance Officer and Chairman, Nissan North America, Inc. as our Guest of Honor and Main Speaker. Mr. Muñoz shared exclusive insights about the drivers of success of Nissan and the Nissan-Renault Alliance in North America as well as on the global automotive market.
Sold out with over 215 attendees, guests enjoyed a champagne reception and silent auction before an elaborate five-course meal and main program with speakers. The funds collected during the silent auction went to support the $10,000 donation to Forgotten Harvest provided by FACC-Michigan, which was announced during the main program. We were pleased to have with us Tim Hudson, Chief Development Officer of Forgotten Harvest, who shared a few words about the mission and important work of the association in the community.
We were also grateful to have The Honorable Vincent Floreani, Consul General of France in Chicago, join us and share a few words about the strong French business presence in Southeast Michigan, primarily in the automotive and manufacturing industry which remains strong and attractive to foreign investment.
FACC-Michigan thanks all of our sponsors and partners who helped make our 2017 Gala & Awards Ceremony a success!
