FACC Michigan is proud to advance the cause of trade and commerce between the United States and France through its scholarship program. This program demonstrates the commitment of the FACC not only to its broad goal of improving French-American trade but also to contributing to our community by helping Michigan students to further their French studies and experience.
The Michigan FACC awards scholarships and internships to Michigan students demonstrating academic excellence and financial need to complement their studies by studying international business with French language studies or by studying or accepting an internship in France. The FACC believes that college and university students in international studies and French studies provide the foundation for the future growth of French-American business relations.
Scholarships range from $1,000 and up.The FACC will be next awarding scholarships for the Summer/Fall of 2010. Scholarship recipients must agree to provide 20 hours of volunteer service to the FACC.
We will review applications and announce scholarships in approximately May 2010 unless special circumstances dictate an earlier date. Scholarships are awarded and disbursed through the college or university attended by the recipient.
The deadline for submissions for the Summer/Fall of 2010 is April 30, 2010.
You must be either a full-time undergraduate student or an advanced degree student at a college or university located in Michigan. To apply, please send the following items to us at our address belowby mail.
-a letter from you stating why you believe that you are deserving of the scholarship. Your letter must describe your study or internship plans (including associated expenses) and include some form of demonstrated financial need. Your letter must also state that you agree to provide the FACC with 20 hours of volunteer service;
-a letter from your professor or advisor stating the reasons why you should be considered for a scholarship;
-an official transcript from your college or university; and
-any other information you believe is important for us to know.
Preference will be given to students who plan to combine French and business in their future career plans.
